Hi again everyone!

So I just got home from The Portland Boulder Rally!  This is the second year that this competition has taken place, and it was awesome!

Qualifiers were on Saturday morning, a 3 hour redpoint broken up into session 1 and session 2.  I competed in session 1, from 9 AM-12 PM.  Redpoints are always so much fun because you’re able to get on so many different problems and get to climb with literally everyone!

I gave it my all in the red point, and placed 3rd!  The top 6 made finals, which is always tough to break into.

Finals were run similarly to World Cup Format.  We had 4 problems, with 4 minutes to attempt each.  However, in between attempts we went behind the wall versus waiting in front of the crowd.  Also, the clock did not run out if you were on the wall at 4 minutes.

The problems were crazy hard!  I was unable to complete any of them, but I definitely did my best!  My favorite problem was probably the 3rd one, it had an awesome double toe hook in it and was just all around very fun!

I ended up placing 5th in finals, which I’m extremely excited about!

Tomorrow I’ll put up my blog about the PCI Clinic I taught today (Sunday).

Off to bed!
